Skills Acquisition Programme for South South Region
Theme: RISE UP (0.1)
Objective:
To provide a one-day empowerment programme for unemployed youths in the South South Region, equipping them with skills, knowledge, and resources to improve their livelihoods.
Specific Objectives:
- To provide vocational training and skills acquisition programme for 100 unemployed youths.
2. To provide entrepreneurship training and support for 50 unemployed youths.
Methodology:
- Registration and Orientation: Register participants online and provide an overview of the programme.
2. Vocational Training: Provide vocational training and skills acquisition programme in areas such as Poutry, Fish & Crop Farming, Paint Production, Fashion Design/Tailoring, Soap & Perfume Making, Graphic Design, Video and Photography, Bead Making, Small Chops, Cake Baking & Catering, Event Decoration & Management, Computer Engineering, Web Design, & Digital Marketing.
3. Entrepreneurship Training: Provide entrepreneurship training and support to equip unemployed youths with the skills and knowledge to start their own businesses.
Expected Outcomes:
- Improved skills and knowledge of unemployed youths in the South South Region.
2. Increased entrepreneurship and self-employment among unemployed youths.
Timeline:
The project will be implemented on a single day, with the following schedule:
– 8:00 am – 9:00 am: Registration and orientation
– 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Vocational training
– 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch break
– 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Entrepreneurship training
– 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Closing ceremony and evaluation

All States in the South South Region, including:

‣ Rivers
This programme aims to empower unemployed youths in the South South Region with skills, knowledge, and resources to improve their livelihoods.
