SOCIETY FOR THE WELFARE OF UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS OF NIGERIA (SWUYN) NATIONAL COMMUNIQUE

Issued at the End of the Induction and Inauguration Ceremony of the National and State Executive Councils held at 1st Forty Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja on November 23, 2024

 

Preamble:

 

The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) has successfully conducted its induction and inauguration ceremony for the National and State Executive Councils. This milestone marks a new chapter in our collective quest to address the challenges of unemployment and empower Nigerian youths.

 

Resolutions:

 

  1. We reaffirm our commitment to the SWUYN Constitution and Bylaws.

 

  1. We pledge to work tirelessly to promote youth employment, education, and entrepreneurship.

 

  1. We shall engage policymakers, private sector stakeholders, and community leaders to create youth-friendly policies.

 

  1. We will establish partnerships with relevant organizations to provide training, mentorship, and resources for our members.

 

  1. We call on the Federal and State Governments to prioritize youth development and employment initiatives.

 

  1. We urge Nigerian youths to take ownership of their future and join SWUYN in its mission.

 

Declaration:

 

We, the National and State Executive Committees, hereby declare our unwavering dedication to:

 

– Unite Nigerian youths across ethnic, religious, and geographical divides.

 

– Foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.

 

– Advocate for policies and programs that benefit unemployed youths.

 

– Collaborate with stakeholders to create opportunities for education, training, and employment.

 

We invite all Nigerian youths, civil society organizations, and well-meaning individuals to join us in this noble cause.
