Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Top Government Officials and Youth Advocates to Receive Honours at SWUYN 10th Anniversary Awards

The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) has announced that Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, leading government officials, private sector leaders, civil society advocates, and outstanding members of the organisation will be honoured at its 10th Anniversary and National Unemployed Youths Day Awards Night.

The highly anticipated ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at De Ellis Event Centre, as the grand finale of a three-day national programme commemorating a decade of advocacy and empowerment by SWUYN under the theme “From Unemployment to Employment.”

According to the leadership of SWUYN, the awards ceremony is designed to celebrate ten years of impact, recognise outstanding contributions to youth empowerment, and inspire stronger commitment from stakeholders toward tackling unemployment and advancing nation-building.

Among the major honourees is Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, which will receive the CSR Excellence in Youth Development Award in recognition of its remarkable contribution to youth empowerment and employment generation in the Niger Delta region.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company, Kestin Pondi, will also be honoured with the Job Creation and Skills Development Award for creating employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerian youths through the operations of the company.

Other distinguished personalities to be recognised include Jonathan Ososuakpor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amju Microfinance Bank Limited, whose institution has supported youth entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.

Prominent government leaders will also receive honours for their roles in youth empowerment and policy support, including Ayodele Olawande Emmanuel, Samuel Ogbuku, and Dennis Brutu Otuaro.

The awards will further recognise civil society leaders, grassroots advocates, media professionals, and committed SWUYN members who have contributed significantly to advancing youth empowerment and raising awareness about unemployment challenges across Nigeria.

Speaking ahead of the event, the National President of SWUYN, Comr. Preye V. Tambou, stated that the awards ceremony represents an important moment in the organisation’s ten-year journey.

He explained that the recognition is meant to appreciate individuals and organisations whose efforts have helped expand opportunities for young people and promote economic empowerment.

“SWUYN was founded ten years ago to give unemployed youths a voice and a platform for empowerment. As we celebrate this milestone, we must also recognise those who have supported this mission and encouraged meaningful solutions to youth unemployment in Nigeria,” he said.

Tambou added that the three-day anniversary programme will feature policy dialogues, mentorship sessions, practical skills training workshops, breakout sessions, and a national advocacy rally, bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, private sector stakeholders, and development partners from across the country.

The SWUYN leadership expressed optimism that the anniversary programme will strengthen partnerships, inspire new initiatives, and mobilise greater support toward addressing youth unemployment and expanding opportunities for Nigerian youths.

As the organisation marks a decade of advocacy and service, SWUYN reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young Nigerians with the skills, opportunities, and support needed to transition from unemployment to employment. 🇳🇬✨
