SWUYN Bayelsa State Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit to the Ministry of Mineral Resources – Seeks Strategic Partnership

26th June 2025

The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN), led by State Chairman, Comr. Tunks Zikenah Coker, alongside members of the executive, paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Chief Patimidi R. Tukuru.

The visit was marked by a fruitful and engaging discussion. The team also had an extensive session with the Director of the Petroleum Department, exploring possible areas of collaboration between SWUYN and the Ministry—particularly in advancing youth-focused initiatives that align with the Ministry’s development goals for Bayelsa State.

Meanwhile, a scheduled meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Investment was rescheduled due to other official engagements. However, the office assured that SWUYN’s proposal for meaningful collaboration will be reviewed in due course.

SWUYN Bayelsa State remains proactive in seeking strategic partnerships with key Ministries, Agencies, and Companies as part of its commitment to creating sustainable opportunities and empowerment pathways for unemployed youths across the state.

Signed:

Comr. Prince Jones-Ere Edubamo
