SWUYN International Youth Day Message
Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN)
12th August, 2025 – International Youth Day Message
Today, as the world observes International Youth Day, SWUYN speaks directly to the millions of Nigerian youths—especially the unemployed—who wake up each day facing a system that has failed to provide them with the opportunities they deserve.
We will not sugarcoat the truth: Nigeria’s youths are carrying the weight of a nation whose leaders have too often ignored their potential and wasted their talents. But let it be clear—you are not weak, you are not forgotten, and you are not alone.
SWUYN exists because we know your struggles. We see the graduates roaming the streets without jobs, the skilled youths sidelined while contracts go to cronies, the innovators ignored while foreign solutions are imported. This is not just unfair—it is unacceptable.
Our fight is for you—the core of our mission and the reason this organisation will never be silent. We are committed to pushing for policies that create real jobs, enforcing accountability on those who mismanage our future, and building platforms where Nigerian youths can thrive without begging for crumbs.
On this International Youth Day, we reaffirm our solidarity with you. Every rally we attend, every meeting we hold, every statement we release is for you. Your voices are our mandate, your demands are our agenda, and your victory will be our measure of success.
This is more than a celebration—it is a reminder that until every Nigerian youth has access to meaningful work, equal opportunity, and the dignity they deserve, our struggle continues.
We at SWUYN wishes every youth today happy international youthday
In solidarity,
Signed,
