SWUYN Sets Stage for 10th Anniversary & 2026 National Unemployed Youths Day

Historic Three-Day National Event to Empower Youths – Calls for Partnership and Sponsorship

The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) has commenced full-scale preparations for its landmark 10th Anniversary Celebration and the 2026 National Unemployed Youths Day, scheduled to hold from March 10th – 12th, 2026 in Delta State, Nigeria.

This milestone event, themed “From Unemployment to Empowerment: Ten Years of Youth Power Transforming Nations”, with the slogan “Turning Opportunity into Impact – When Youths Work, Nations Win”, will spotlight the urgent challenge of unemployment in Nigeria while providing practical pathways for empowerment.

Programme Highlights

The Planning Committee has outlined a three-day national programme:

Day 1: Opening Ceremony, Cultural Displays, High-Level Panel on “Unemployment in Nigeria: The Way Forward”.

Day 2: Skills Workshops, Job & Career Fair, Mentorship Sessions, and Empowerment Exhibitions.

Day 3: Public Rally, Networking, Awards Night, and the launch of the SWUYN Legacy Project.

The SWUYN Legacy Project

A centerpiece of the celebration will be the launch of the SWUYN Legacy Project, designed to establish:

Training & Innovation Hubs across Nigeria.

A Youth Empowerment Fund to support youth-owned businesses.

A National Youth Dialogue Platform for policy advocacy.

The SWUYN Alumni Network for mentorship and sustainability.

The Legacy Project aims to equip 30,000 unemployed youths within five years and support 10,000 small businesses, leaving behind a permanent platform for empowerment.

Sponsorship & Partnership Packages

SWUYN invites strategic sponsorships and partnerships from government, private sector, philanthropists, development partners, and the general public. Sponsorship categories include:

Platinum Partner – ₦50,000,000 and above

Gold Partner – ₦25,000,000

Silver Partner – ₦10,000,000

Bronze Partner – ₦5,000,000

Friend of the Youth – ₦2,000,000 and below

Non-financial partnerships such as mentorship, training, job placements, and media support are equally welcomed.

Budget Framework

The Committee has approved a working budget of ₦100,000,000, allocated as follows:

Venue & Logistics – ₦20m (20%)

Media & Publicity – ₦15m (15%)

Programme & Content Delivery – ₦12m (12%)

Skills Workshops & Career Fair – ₦10m (10%)

Cultural Displays & Entertainment – ₦8m (8%)

Guest Speakers & Facilitators – ₦7m (7%)

Accommodation & Hospitality – ₦6m (6%)

Awards & Legacy Project Launch – ₦7m (7%)

Secretariat & Admin Support – ₦5m (5%)

Security & Protocol – ₦5m (5%)

Contingency – ₦5m (5%)

Call for Partnership

SWUYN hereby calls on the Federal and State Governments, Corporate Organisations, Development Partners, NGOs, Philanthropists, and all Nigerians of goodwill to support this landmark national programme.
