CONFAB 2025: A Turning Point for Nigerian Youths – SWUYN
CONFAB 2025: A Turning Point for Nigerian Youths 🇳🇬
We See Progress. And We Must Say This: Thank You.
Something good is finally happening.
And as the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN), we’re not just observing from a distance — we’re standing in it, speaking into it, and showing up for it.
We want to sincerely thank:
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR — for giving youth a national platform where our voices are no longer treated as background noise.
Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Senior Comrade Ayodele Olawande Emmanuel — for showing that real leadership is about presence, energy, and genuine concern for the everyday Nigerian youth.
And of course, the entire CONFAB 2025 Planning Committee — you brought structure, heart, and intention into this conference. We see your efforts, and we honour it.
This Isn’t Just Another Event. It Feels Different.
You know, in Nigeria, we’ve attended plenty of youth events.
We’ve heard the speeches. We’ve seen the hashtags. We’ve watched promises fade once the lights went off.
But something about CONFAB 2025 feels different.
It feels like a moment that could truly become a movement.
A space where we’re not just invited for optics, but to build something real.
And for that — we’re not just grateful, we’re inspired.
SWUYN Is Not Just Watching — We’re Involved.
As an organization focused on unemployed and underrepresented youths, we’re officially saying:
“We’re all in.”
We’re ready to:
Present practical solutions to youth unemployment
Share bold policy proposals
Engage with decision-makers — not just to talk, but to shape what happens next
To Every Young Nigerian Reading This
Let’s be real with each other:
We’ve struggled. We’ve tried. We’ve prayed. We’ve hoped. And many times, we’ve been ignored.
But now — we have an opening.
This is not the time to fold our arms and wait again. This is the time to rise.
📢 Don’t just spectate. Participate.
📢 Don’t just tweet. Speak.
📢 Don’t just wish. Act.
You matter. And your voice must be heard — loud and clear.
And To Our Leaders…
Please, don’t let CONFAB 2025 end as “just another good event.”
Let the ideas lead to:
Real jobs, not press releases
Skill centers, not slogans
Youth opportunities that don’t require connections
Let’s prove that this isn’t just another cycle of talk — but the beginning of real change.
✍️ Signed,
Comrade Ogbeide Oluwasegun Ikhuoria
Acting National Public Relations Officer, SWUYN
Comrade Monday David
Acting National Media & Publicity Secretary, SWUYN
